This Cookie Notice explains how VenturStaq, Inc. (“VenturStaq,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on venturstaq.com (the “Website”), what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control it. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
In short: the Website does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising, marketing or third-party analytics tools. It stores one essential item to remember your cookie choice. Everything else, which supports an optional feedback survey and visit-source measurement, stays off unless you allow it.
2. What this notice covers
This notice describes the Website at venturstaq.com. As of the effective date above, we reviewed the Website’s code and found that it sets no HTTP cookies of its own and uses only browser local storage and session storage, listed in the table below.
Our client portal at app.venturstaq.com is a separate application. If you sign in to it, it uses technologies needed to identify you and keep your session secure. Those are strictly necessary for the portal and are not set by this Website. If the portal ever uses analytics or other optional technologies that need your consent, we will ask for it there.
3. Why VenturStaq uses them
We use browser storage for two reasons: to remember the choices you make about cookies, and, only if you allow it, to run an optional short feedback survey and understand which campaigns or sites bring visitors to us. We do not use browser storage to show advertising or to track you across other websites.
4. Categories
| Category | Used on the Website? | Consent needed? | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Yes | No (always on) | Storage required to provide something you asked for or to remember your cookie choice. |
| Preferences and functionality | No separate preference cookies. The only function-related storage, the survey display timer, belongs to Analytics & research below. | Yes, if ever used | Storage that remembers settings such as language or layout. |
| Analytics & research | Yes, only if you allow it | Yes | A random browser identifier, visit-source details, and an optional feedback survey, used to understand how people find and use the Website. |
| Marketing & advertising | No | Yes, if ever used | Storage used to show or measure advertising. VenturStaq does not use any. |
5. Inventory of cookies and storage items
This is the complete list of items the Website stores in your browser. All are set by VenturStaq (first party). None is set by a third party.
| Name | Type | Category | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vtq_cookie_consent | Local storage | Strictly necessary | Records your cookie choice: the version of this notice you responded to, the date and time, which categories you allowed, and how you chose (accept all, reject non-essential, or custom). | Up to 12 months, then we ask again. Also asked again if our categories change materially. |
| vtq_anon_id | Local storage | Analytics & research (consent required) | A random identifier generated in your browser. It is sent with a feedback-survey answer so that answers from the same browser can be recognized. It does not contain your name or contact details. | Until you withdraw consent or clear your browser data. |
| vtq_utm_source, vtq_utm_medium, vtq_utm_campaign | Session storage | Analytics & research (consent required) | Campaign details taken from the link you used to reach the Website (the utm_ parameters), if present. | Until you close the browser tab or window. |
| vtq_referrer | Session storage | Analytics & research (consent required) | The address of the external website that sent you to us, if there was one. | Until you close the browser tab or window. |
| vtq_survey_marketing_signup_friction_suppressed_until | Local storage | Analytics & research (consent required) | A timestamp that stops the optional feedback survey from appearing again after you dismiss or answer it. | For the period set in the survey’s configuration, which is 14 days after dismissal and 90 days after an answer if none is set, or 1 hour if sending an answer fails. Removed if you withdraw consent. |
6. Strictly necessary storage
The only strictly necessary item is the record of your cookie choice. We need it so we do not ask you every time you visit and so we can respect your decision. Because it is essential to honoring your choice, it does not require consent. You can delete it by clearing your browser data, but we will then ask you again.
7. Analytics and research storage
If you choose “Accept All” or enable “Analytics & research” in Cookie Settings, the Website will:
- record where your visit came from (campaign parameters and referring website) for the length of your browser session;
- create a random identifier in your browser; and
- after you have spent some time on the site, may show a short optional survey asking what is stopping you from signing up.
If you answer the survey, your selected answer and any text you choose to type, the random identifier, the page you were on, the stage of your visit, and the visit-source details are sent to our servers at app.venturstaq.com. We use them to understand why visitors may not sign up and to improve the Website. We do not use them for advertising. Please do not enter personal information in the survey’s free-text box.
If you do not opt in, none of this storage is created, the survey is not shown, and no survey information is requested or sent.
8. Marketing and advertising
The Website does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, remarketing tags, tag managers or social-media trackers, and we do not share information from the Website with advertising networks. If we add any in the future, they will be off by default, and we will ask for your consent before they run.
9. Third-party technologies
The Website does not load scripts, fonts, analytics tools, videos, maps, chat or support widgets, payment scripts, or other embedded content from third parties. Fonts are served from our own domain. Beyond loading its own pages, the Website makes requests only to our own application at app.venturstaq.com: (1) on pages that show prices, it asks for the public catalog of our services and prices, a request that carries no cookies and no identifier from your browser and sends only the technical information every web request includes, such as your IP address and browser type; and (2) if you opted in to analytics and research, the optional survey described above.
Links on the Website to other sites, including our client portal, government websites, banks and payment providers, take you away from the Website. Those sites have their own cookies and policies.
10. How you can control cookies and storage
Cookie Settings
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose “Accept All,” “Reject Non-Essential,” or “Manage Preferences.” Optional categories are off until you choose to turn them on. We do not treat continued browsing, scrolling or closing the banner as consent. You can review or change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.
Browser controls
You can also delete or block storage using your browser’s settings. How to clear local storage, session storage and cookies differs by browser, and the help pages for your browser explain how. If you block or delete the cookie-choice record, we will ask for your choice again, and blocking all storage may mean your choices are not remembered.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to keep optional analytics off. We will turn them on only if you actively choose to in Cookie Settings. The Website does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and it does not track you across other websites.
Withdrawing or changing consent
You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, by choosing “Reject Non-Essential” or switching off “Analytics & research” in Cookie Settings. When you do, we immediately stop optional storage and delete the optional items listed above from your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.
11. How we record your choice
When you make a choice, we save in your browser the version of our consent categories, the date and time, the categories you allowed, and how you chose. We use the version to ask you again if the optional categories, purposes or vendors change materially. We also ask again after 12 months. This record stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
12. Updates to this notice
We will update this notice if we change the storage or technologies the Website uses, or the law changes. The updated notice will carry a new effective date. If a change materially affects optional storage, we will ask for your choice again.
